Ryan Chapman explains “Chinese v. American Political Philosophy” (24 min).

One of the most important differences is that in the American system, the rule of law is above all else (even on Jan. 6).  In China, the CCP is above all else. People may have relative personal freedom (subject to social credit), but no  self-expression or political freedom and their community lives are heavily organized top-down and socialized.
