"Why the Shanghai Tower Failed": Overbuilt, wasteful design
“Why the Shanghai Tower Failed”, by B1M.
The last of three competing skyscrapers in Shanghai, built
in 1999, 2009 and 2016, it’s 2000 feet tall and twisted (there is a similar
condo in Massapequa, Ontario near Toronto).
The developers can’t lease it out.
Much of the floor space is wasted.
But it is spectacular.
